Just a few blocks from the picturesque shores of Kitsilano, this historical renovation was about keeping one foot in the past while boldly stepping into the future. When approached by the homeowners, a young couple which grew to a family of four, they asked us to renovate this historical property into something that felt energetic and charismatic, like them, and yet they wanted it to embrace elements of character in the home, such as the stained glass and original staircase while focusing on modern conveniences that are necessary for a busy, on-the-go family.

This major renovation took the home back to the studs and included raising it and adding a lower basement level, all new exterior finishes and landscaping. We did a complete overhaul of the interior layout and finishes. The family are avid art collectors and lovers of bold colours, so we worked with them closely to create a space that showcased their amazing collection, as well as felt personal, unique and cleaned-lined.
