AN EAST-COAST INSPIRED VANCOUVER HOME WITH NANTUCKET VIBES
Heavily inspired by the coastal, wind-swept island of Nantucket, each room of the West Vancouver home was washed in classic tones of navy, red and grey. Antique furnishings, such as the dining table and entryway armoire, were refinished to allow the home to feel both classic and modernized.
AN OUTDATED OCEANFRONT HOME IN WEST VANCOUVER
The clients had recently purchased this oceanfront home in West Vancouver's Eagle Harbour. It was beautifully crafted but in need of a total decorating refresh. With only minor renovations, we completely reimagined the house into a classic East Coast-inspired nautical escape.
GOODBYE, PINK MARBLE
Stripping back previous finishes, like the polished pink marble (exactly as ghastly as it sounds), and replacing them with natural stone and brick helped create a more timeless space that shouldn’t visibly date.
LET'S CALL IT MODNOD
(A.K.A. "MODERN NAUTICAL")
The oversized master wing was designed to be more monochromatic, mixing the more modern with the traditional. The ceiling was leafed in silver, the walls papered in grass cloth and painted with a custom ombre pattern.
The bedside tables were custom designed and made from salvaged wagon wheels and sandblasted marble. We chose the sheep to pay tribute to the family’s love for animals and secondary farm home.
CHANGE THE DECOR, CHANGE THE ROOM, CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Overall, this project is about the power of decoration. The potential of a home is endless, and our bold design process will make you fall in love with your home again.
